On Wednesday, the Senate approved the designation of Kevin Warsh as the next Federal Reserve chair, paving the path for Warsh to succeed Jerome Powell, the current head of the central bank, upon the expiration of his tenure later in the week.
The Senate’s endorsement of Warsh was achieved through a tally of 54 ayes to 45 nays.
