The Ukrainian national football team, which failed to qualify for the World Cup, said goodbye to head coach Serhiy Rebrov, 51, according to the official website of the Ukrainian Football Federation.

“We thank Serhiy Stanislavovych for his work and contribution to the development of young football players. Today we need to move forward and make new decisions that will become the foundation of the future national team,” said Andriy Shevchenko, president of the Ukrainian Football Association .
It is reported that Serhiy Rebrov, who earned 1.25 million euros per year in the national team, continues to be part of the UAF team as vice president and member of the executive committee.
“I am grateful to the entire team and fans for the stage we went through. It was a difficult path with victories and defeats, but Ukrainians always supported the national team. These are moments of unity that I will not forget and for which I am always grateful. I also thank the UAF for their constant assistance, support, and joint work,” said Serhiy Rebrov .

Recall that Rebrov led the national team in 2023. In 34 matches under his leadership, the Ukrainian national team won 16 victories, suffered 10 defeats, and drew 8 times.
At the same time, at Euro 2024, the “blue and yellow” failed to advance out of the group, in the League of Nations they failed to advance to the elite division, and in the 2026 World Cup qualifying cycle they ended their journey with a defeat to Sweden (1:3) in the play-off semi-finals.
