Goals: Ponomarenko (23, 82), Voloshyn (83).
Ironically, the Kyiv-based giants and the Chernivtsi team met in the semifinals of the last Ukrainian Cup. Bukovyna led the way, but eventually capitulated — 1:4.
Serhiy Shyshchenko's team drank a lot of blood in Dynamo this time too. But largely thanks to the brilliant play of the goalkeeper of the “white-blue” Nescheret, the guys from Chernivtsi were again left without a final. A “double” by Ponomarenko and a well-aimed shot by Voloshyn brought Igor Kostyuk's team a crushing victory in terms of the score, but not in terms of the game, and their 20th ticket to the Cup final.
