Tragedy struck the family of 33-year-old German Homburg footballer Markus Mendler. His beautiful wife Tamara died at the age of 32, a few days after the birth of their second child, Express reports. Earlier, the wife of the famous German footballer with Russian roots passed away, who died at the age of 28.

According to the player's club, Tamara Mendler, who gave birth to her husband's healthy daughter Tamara, passed away “after a short but serious illness.”
As it turned out, the former footballer of the first German Bundesliga club “Nuremberg” and his wife were united by their love of football. They met in 2016, when they played for “Saarbrücken” (Tamara played for the women's team under the maiden name Trester in the second Bundesliga).

“For many years, Tamara has been an important part of our women's team and her personality has left an unforgettable mark on the club's history,” FC Saarbrücken said in a statement. “Both on and off the pitch, she was a valued teammate and role model.”
