On Tuesday, March 31, the Ukrainian youth football team, which sensationally lost points in a match with Lithuania (1:1), held a qualifying match for the 2027 European Championship against the Hungarian team at the MTK Stadium in Budapest and, thanks to goals from the giant Pyschuur (the forward of the Hungarian Gyor is 204 cm tall) and Sinchuk from the Canadian Montreal, celebrated their first victory in the group in five matches.

In another match in the Euro 2027 qualifying group that same day, Croatia defeated Turkey at home, with three (!) players sent off, 3:0 (the match was interrupted in the 34th minute with the score 0:0 because the visiting team's head coach Egemen Korkmaz fainted and was urgently sent to the hospital by ambulance).

Unfortunately, the Ukrainian “youth” won only two of the six matches in the group. Earlier, after defeating Lithuania (4:0) and drawing with Hungary (3:3), the “yellow-blue” lost to Croatia (0:1) and Turkey (0:1), and also lost points in another match with Lithuania (1:1).

Position of the teams in the group: 1. Croatia – 13 points (5 matches); 2. Turkey – 11 (6); 3. Ukraine – 8 (6) ; 4. Hungary – 3 (5); 5. Lithuania – 2 (6).

Recall that the winners of nine groups and the best second-place team will automatically qualify for the final tournament of the European Championship. The eight second-place teams will be determined by the holders of four tickets to Euro 2027 in play-offs.
