On Tuesday, March 17, the last semifinalist of the Ukrainian Football Cup, from which the trophy holder Shakhtar has already been eliminated, was to be decided. But the match between the two representatives of the first division, Chernihiv and Phoenix-Mariupol, which was supposed to start at 12:00, never took place due to a prolonged air alert in Chernihiv and was postponed to another date.

“The match has been postponed. Due to the actions of a terrorist country, today's football celebration did not take place. We will announce the new date and time of the game very soon, after the decision of the UAF. Purchased tickets remain valid. Thank you to everyone who came to support the team. Together we are strong! Take care of yourself and your loved ones,” reads the statement from FC Chernihiv.
Let us remind you that earlier in the quarterfinal matches of the tournament, Dynamo Kyiv beat Inhulets from Petrovy (2:0), Metalist 1925 Kharkiv defeated Lokomotiv from the capital (3:0), and Bukovyna Chernivtsi beat LNZ Cherkasy in a series of 11-meter kicks (0:0, on penalties — 5:4).
