VIDEO OF THE DAY
Last weekend, the teams of 55-year-old Dane Nils Fredriksen and Turk Arda Turan played regular matches in their national leagues. Lech unexpectedly lost to the outsider of the Ekstraklasa Widzew in Lodz in the Polish championship – 1:2 (Thordarson, 28 – Rodriguez, 34, Kornvig, 52) and with 38 points they are in third place, level with Jagiellonia (reserve game) and 3 points behind Zaglebie.
In turn, Shakhtar defeated Oleksandria (1:0) away in the UPL and is leading with 44 points, 3 points ahead of LNZ. The orange-blacks were preparing for the game in Poznan in Turkey.
In previous years, Shakhtar played in European competitions with only one Polish club, Legia. In 2006, the Miners beat the Warsaw team twice (1:0 and 3:2), and in 2025 they lost (1:2).
