
Titled Ukrainian swimmer, two-time Olympic medalist, 29-year-old Mykhailo Romanchuk announced the end of his career, holding a special press conference.

Over the years of his performances on the water tracks, the native of Rivne has won silver and bronze at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. His rich collection also includes four world championship medals (2 silver and 2 bronze) and 10 European championship awards (6 of them gold). Mykhailo Romanchuk is the holder of national records in swimming at 400, 800 and 1500 meters.
Recall that the Ukrainian swimmer at the 2024 Olympic Games prematurely stopped competing due to illness. The starts in Paris were the last in his career.

According to Mikhail himself, he is not going to leave his favorite sport and intends to train children. In addition, Romanchuk was elected vice-president of the Swimming Federation of Ukraine at the end of 2025.
We should add that Mykhailo is married to the titled Ukrainian athlete Marina Bekh-Romanchuk, who announced her pregnancy in September 2025.
