Famous Ukrainian coach Roman Hryhorchuk has been appointed as the new coach of Odessa's Chornomorets, whose player called the Russians “scoundrels”, the official website of the “seamen” reports.

At the head of the team, the 60-year-old specialist replaced the former Shakhtar and Ukrainian national team player, as well as the former Metalist and Dnipro-1 coach Oleksandr Kucher, under whose leadership the Odessa team finished the first part of the season in the first league in third place.

It should be noted that Roman Hryhorchuk, the champion of three countries (Latvia with Ventspils, Belarus with Shakhtar Soligorsk, and Kazakhstan with Astana), has already led the Odessa club for the third time. Previously, the specialist worked with the “sailors” from 2010 to 2014 and from 2021 to 2024.
