
The lawyer of Russian PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who saved four penalties in the Intercontinental Cup final, has sued the footballer's ex-wife Anastasia Kazachek, accusing her of fraud, reports the Telegram channel Sport Baza.

According to the source, the lawsuit states that Safonova's ex-husband illegally received compensation for legal expenses. The girl demanded payment for the services of her lawyer, although she herself did not pay him. The total amount of expenses, which was indicated by representatives of Matvey's ex-wife, was about 10 million rubles (approximately 127 thousand dollars).
Also, the lawyer for the Ukrainian national team player's teammate Ilya Zabarny stated that in total, Safonov paid his ex-wife about 90 million rubles (approximately 1 million 743 thousand dollars).

Matvey and Anastasia divorced in 2021. They have a daughter together, Maya. In June 2024, Safonov was banned from leaving Russia due to alimony debt of 60 million rubles (about $760,000). In the summer of 2025, the football player completely repaid the debt to his ex-wife.
