The iPhone 17e is a long-awaited mid-range smartphone from Apple that the company has not yet announced. According to anonymous sources, we won't have long to wait for it, as it will be released in the spring of 2026.

Main theses:

  • The new device will boast an 18 MP selfie camera.
  • However, you shouldn't expect any drastic changes from the display.

iPhone 17e – what to expect from it?

As journalists managed to find out from their insiders, the main change will be Dynamic Island.

According to the latest data, it will replace the usual notch at the top of the display, a trimmed-down chip from the iPhone 17, and a minimum of 256 GB.

There is currently a high probability that the iPhone 17e redesign will mark the end of the era of Apple smartphones with a “bang”.

As for the display, you shouldn't expect any radical changes here.

Anonymous sources claim that the new product will retain a 6.1-inch OLED panel with a frame rate of 60 Hz.

It is also quite possible that the Apple team will reuse screens that were already used in the 2024 iPhone.

If earlier rumors are to be believed, the new product will also get an 18MP selfie camera, like in current models, MagSafe and will offer several new body colors. And to reduce costs, Apple may use the older C1 or C1X modem, but without the N1 wireless chip.
