The former player of Obolon, Lviv, Zhytomyr, and Ingulets, who was recognized as the coach of the month in the UPL in October 2024 and March 2025, has led Karpaty since July 2024. Under his leadership, the Lviv team played 50 matches, in which they won 19, drew 14 times, and suffered 17 defeats, taking 9th place in the Ukrainian championship this season.
The most likely candidate for the position of the new head coach of Karpaty is 45-year-old Spanish specialist Fran Fernandez, known for his work with Almeria, Alcarcon, and Murcia. It is to Murcia that the Lviv team will go for a training camp on January 14.
