According to The Information, the front panel of the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be significantly modified for the first time in the last 4 years. New long-awaited changes can be seen already in the iPhone 14 Pro with Dynamic Island.

According to anonymous sources, Apple's team intends to place Face ID and other sensors under the display, leaving only a small cutout for the front camera. They want to move it to the upper left corner.
If these plans come to fruition, the iPhone 18 Pro models will not have the pill-shaped notch at the top of the screen, made using Dynamic Island technology.
What is important to understand is that the basic design of the smartphones will not differ much from the iPhone 17 Pro – you should not count on a radical redesign of the case.

The release of the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro is expected in September 2026, along with the iPhone Fold and iPhone Air 2. But the basic iPhone 18, if the information is confirmed, will appear in early 2027, along with the iPhone 18e.
