As it turned out, in 2024, French figure skater Solene Mazing, representing Estonia, filed a police report accusing Desyatov of rape after the Golden Spin tournament in Zagreb, Croatia, in December 2023.

“I will never forget that competition last season,” said 21-year-old Solen Mazing . “It seemed like everything was going on as usual until everything changed. That day, I was sexually assaulted by another athlete. He took advantage of my vulnerability, knowing that I was under the influence of medication (the drugs were prescribed to her to improve sleep after a traumatic brain injury. — Author ).”

In October 2024, the Russian rapist was temporarily suspended from competition.

We would like to add that 24-year-old Ivan Desyatov performed in dance sports for Russia until 2021, skating in a pair with Irina Khavronina, and then began performing under the Belarusian flag with Ekaterina Andreeva. Since 2022, the skater has represented the United States in a pair with Isabella Flores.

Previously, “FACTY” reported that the former coach of the Russian national team, who was striving for the world championship, was eliminated by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
