The Kremlin believes the resignation of the Governor of the Siberian region, where a shopping center in the fire killed 64 people.
In a statement on Sunday said Aman Tuleyev has resigned and it was accepted by President Vladimir Putin. Tuleyev headed the Kemerovo region for over 20 years.
And on March 25 a fire in a four-storey shopping centre in the regional capital, also called Kemerovo, has prompted thousands of people at the demonstration last week, calling for the resignation of regional officials and widespread corruption and incompetence.
Seven people were arrested in the case, including the woman who heads the local Agency construction inspection, when the Mall was built. Surviving firefighters say the fire system shopping center the alarm didn’t go off during a fire.
Among the dead were 41 children.
