Conor McGregor has issued a defiant response after he was stripped of his lightweight title the UFC.
UFC President Dana white said at a press conference ahead of Saturday’s card at Barclays Center in new York, McGregor 155-pound championship will be up for grabs, and the Irishman fought for the UFC since winning the belt in November 2016.
McGregor delivered this morning brief and to-the-point response.
This 29-year-old wrote in his Twitter: “You will deprive me of nothing you****.”
McGregor, who was beaten in a Boxing match Floyd Mayweather Jr. in August 2017, the last time he fought, had to have his crown taken from him for some time.
Number one Tony Ferguson, who held an interim title in his absence, was booked to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov four times, but the fight still will take place.
Nurmagomedov now will face the champion at Featherweight Max Holloway, with the winner claiming the crown of McGregor and the time zone becomes invalid when a new champion is determined.
Quoted in the new York post, White said: “We are not revealing Tony Ferguson. Tony Ferguson not to deprive. The only one who loses here belt Conor. Conor loses the belt. These two (Nurmagomedov and Holloway) are fighting for the belt.”
