In October of 2025, the proportion of “just imported” second-hand electric vehicles was 57.3%, surpassing the total of new car sales and internal resales.

Main players
The undisputed frontrunner in used electric car imports is still Tesla , which holds a significant part of the market, well ahead of rivals. This triumph can be attributed to the superior combination of cost, technological features, and driving range, in conjunction with the accessibility of parts and serviceability for the Model 3 and Y.
Following closely behind Tesla are Korean manufacturers KIA and Hyundai , together with electric vehicle pioneer Nissan . These marques present more conventional and established solutions for purchasers who aren’t prepared for Elon Musk’s “gadgets on wheels.”

Variety of models
An intriguing shift happened in the range of models: the Tesla Model Y exceeded Model 3 , which is more affordable, in terms of popularity for the first time. This highlights a readiness among Ukrainian buyers to invest more for a more useful crossover design. In third position, the Nissan Leaf remains a firm favorite, being the “entry point” to the electric car world.
Significantly, the typical age of the electric vehicles arriving in October was just 4.6 years – the smallest figure among all segments of used cars on the market.
Internal Market
The domestic resale market is somewhat steadier, exhibiting 3,345 deals in October (25.2% of the market).
Regarding internal resales, the Nissan Leaf continues to be dominant, and the most easily sold electric car in the Ukrainian marketplace because purchasing/selling is straightforward and maintenance is comparatively inexpensive.
Here, the Tesla Model 3 is more requested than the higher-priced Model Y, validating the crucial impact of price on the used car market.
