The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated he isn’t presently mulling over sending long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.

He mentioned this while aboard Air Force One in response to a reporter’s inquiry about whether he intended to supply these arms to Kyiv.

“No, not especially. I reserve the right to alter the ultimate determination, yet I’m not pursuing that path at the moment,” the US leader remarked.

Trump was similarly questioned about what occurrence could be the “breaking point” that would persuade him of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s reluctance to conclude the conflict against Ukraine.

“There won’t be any breaking point. Occasionally, the parties involved must be permitted to engage in combat. And they are indeed fighting. For Putin, this is a challenging battle. He has suffered substantial troop losses, potentially a million. However, for Ukraine, the warfare is equally arduous,” the head of the White House appended.

The previous day, CNN correspondents, citing American and European officials, conveyed that the Pentagon had authorized the delivery of Tomahawks, but the concluding choice rests with Trump.

Earlier, Trump conveyed that the US was refraining from transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, alleging it would purportedly require six months to a year to effectively deploy them on the front lines.

Following numerous months of hesitation, Donald Trump has ultimately imposed sanctions on the Kremlin. However, this doesn’t represent a geopolitical advancement or a planned strategy, but rather a response to his personal frustration. Will this emotional outburst develop into a genuine hurdle for Putin?

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, Oleh Shamshur, elaborates on Trump’s motivations, risks, and misapprehensions in the article “Trump Punishes Putin, but Not for the Sake of Ukraine.”
